Our SONGS FOR THE CURE show on Nov 19th is for Bishop Mikaelian. She's a 9yr old terminal brain cancer patient. She goes to Elzie D Elementary in Mt Juliet TN. We are having a show,doing a toy drive and providing holiday dinners. AND we will be live on uaradio.net.

Get in Fashion with Belmont Mansion and Posh Boutique!
On October 29, 2009, Belmont Mansion will host its 30th Annual Fashion Show, with proceeds supporting the restoration projects of Belmont Mansion and its operations. This year’s event will be sponsored by Nashville’s own POSH Boutique and will be located at the popular Uptown 162 in downtown Nashville. The stylish evening will feature two 30 minute shows, the first showcasing the innovative and socially conscious fashions of Dallas designer Abi Ferrin and the second the chic and edgy designs of POSH Boutique. Adding a bit of musical color to the evening will be DJ Dale Carver, a frequent performer at Limelight and Mercy Lounge. Frothy Monkey and other local shops will also be in attendance, displaying their wares in a marketplace environment. So sip and shop…enjoy your favorite cocktail or gourmet coffee while shopping with POSH Boutique, Twist Art Gallery and Adelicia’s Boutique just to name a few…..
Belmont Mansion hosted the first charity fashion show in Nashville in 1979. Today, Belmont Mansion’s Fashion Show is Nashville’s longest running charity fashion event. Since 1980, the runway fashions have been provided by Gus Mayer and a number of well-known designers such as Zang Toi, Lela Rose, Carolina Herrera, Gustavo Cadile, and Bryan Bradley, have all seen their designs featured at the show. This year, Belmont Mansion joins contemporaries in bringing humanitarianism to fashion by working with POSH to introduce the latest fashions of Abi Ferrin, a socially conscious designer who incorporates fairly traded handmade buttons into her design

What: The 30th Annual Belmont Mansion Fashion Show, benefiting Belmont Mansion Association, a group of individuals dedicated to the
preservation of the historic home of Nashville’s first fashionista, Adelicia Acklen.
Where: Uptown 162, 162 Rosa Parks Blvd., located in downtown Nashville across the street from the Standard Restaurant. Valet Parking available.

Cost: General Admission tickets are $25 and VIP (front row seat) tickets are $40

The Belmont Mansion, registered as a National Historic Site since 1971, is operated and maintained by the Belmont Mansion Association through admissions, venue rental, and private donations from individual memberships, foundations, event fundraisers, and corporations.
